It can track so much more and is a lot more appealing because of it. The only thing it lacks is the ability to track water and food intake with an app but since the health app connects with it, that's fine. It only works with apple apps but that works for me since I have an iPhone. The sharing feature keeps you accountable or can be fun with friends/family that you know. It also tracks your steps so it picks up where Fitbit lies I love how it tracks calories burned and active minutes. More ideal because I'm active and do different types of workouts and play sports The AW is an all around decent combination especially when paired with an IPhone.Īpple Watch fs and to organize the reasons why: For fitness it’s all about the Garmin (this depends on how important the reporting is to you). So if u want sleep tracking you should get an Oura ring, Fitbit or Whoop. You will find that it’s hard to find one watch that does it all. Notifications are much better in the AW too. Eventually I got frustrated and went back to Apple.ĪW does have it quirks too and in some cases the data isn’t accurate all the time but the data is more accurate than the Fitbit. Heart rate measurements wasn’t in numbers but in a graph and was averaged. The data it provided really didn’t tell you what to do with it which made it frustrating. SpO2 can only be measured while you sleep. The exercise data was inaccurate as well. Coming from an AW it was a huge disappointment. Calls can’t be initiated from the watch and all it did was vibrate with no sound. Problem is that the data isn’t all that reliable.
The Sense has some great features over the AW. My most recent switch with smartwatches was the Fitbit Sense. Cannot recommend it enough.Įvery now and then I get the occasional urge to switch to Android. I was truly someone who thought they’d NEVER get one and now I know that if something happened to my Watch, I’d put an order in for a new one within 10 min like I would if my cellphone broke.
It works seamlessly with your iPhone and airpods and everything. The experience and psychology that goes into it is just that much better. People are fanatics about them for a good reason.
We went from super sedentary and recovering from surgical procedures to working out 40-60 min per day and actually looking forward to it.Ĭomparing Apple Watch to Fitbit is like comparing a MacBook to a PC or Target to Walmart or Costco to Sams Club. I got my mom one for Christmas this year and now we’ve completely transformed our lifestyles as a result. Truly changed my life and I tear up thinking how much better it has made my health. I got an Apple Watch this summer and was instantly obsessed. Wasn’t dissatisfied, but wasn’t enthused. I had various Fitbit for 5 years and almost worked there, but it never really caught on for me in a huge way.
